Where and how to find us

The conference will open on Thursday 11^th June 2026 at 8.30 am and close on Friday 12^th June 2026 at 5 pm. It will take place at the Logis du Roy, in the city centre of Amiens.

On Saturday 13^th June 2026, we will visit the battlefields of the Somme in the morning and the place where C.S. Lewis was hospitalised in February 1918 at the seaside town of Le Tréport in the afternoon. 

The conference itself will take place at the Logis du Roy, which is situated in the city centre, within walking distance of the train station (10 minutes), through Rue de Noyon, Place René Goblet, and Rue des Trois Cailloux (see the map below).

Travelling to Amiens:

There are no airports in Amiens. The nearest airports are Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle (Paris) or Beauvais Tillé (https://www.aeroportparisbeauvais.com/en/passengers/). If you fly to Paris, you will need to take a train to Amiens at Gare du Nord (approximately 1 hour from Paris). If you fly to Beauvais, you will need to take a shuttle to Amiens (line 601, approximately 1 hour 15 minutes from Beauvais) (https://www.oise-mobilite.fr/horaires-ligne/20311).

When you arrive from Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport, the RER station in Paris is Gare du Nord. All trains to Amiens depart from Gare du Nord. There are regular trains from Paris to Amiens: https://www.oui.sncf/train/horaires/paris/amiens

You can also withdraw your ticket directly in Gare du Nord, before getting on board. There are many trains from Paris to Amiens. No reservations are needed. You may sit in any available 2nd class carriage.
